Currently, I am writing this with bruises in every possible part of my feet, and a lost pinky toenail. You might be saying to yourself "Why is he yappin about allat?".
I believe to truly care for others or to aid you need to experience things yourself and be fully present. Whether its a bruise, peeling skin, cut or even a burn (had that one as well somehow) I unfortunately had to learn a way to treat them all. Going to the sessions 5 times a week and deeply caring about the wellbeing of every friend we have in here I believe that I can fulfill this role's demands.
Eating 5 intoverts with the silence on the side, I am ready to hype you up whenever and wherever even if it means preparing posters, or shouting form the top of my lungs.
I don't wait to take action, especially when it comes to mental or physical health related topics. So you can trust me on carrying our committee's health and morale (Refrence to the pfp again ehehehe) And I am very interested in being educated in first aid (one of the requirements) as I want to be a person who can help people not only in the society but in my daily life as well.
I am very open to feedbacks or suggestions and will gladly take any feedback with happiness knowing that feedbacks only come from people who care enough to see you get better.
I appreciate every vote and until the next comp where I attempt to shake the mats with my shouting, see you.
With seventeen years of taekwondo under my belt (haha), the sport has always been close to my heart. Coming to university has made it an even more important part of my life. UCL TKD feels less like a uni society and more like a family, and it would be a privilege to look after the people I care about (all of you!) as Welfare Secretary. Whether you’ve hurt yourself in training or you’re having a bad day/week/month, I would be around to help or just to chat to in confidence.
My experience comes from being a medical student, volunteering for many years with disabled people, and first aid courses in both physical and mental health. I’ve held several leadership positions before university, including creating an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Society; access to sports and societies are things I’m particularly passionate about.
Thank you, I look forward to getting started!
