Taekwondo Club: President

Over the past two years, this club has become such an important part of my life where I’ve not only grown as an athlete and as a leader, but also built such beautiful and strong friendships. Serving as Female Captain this year has been one of my proudest experiences, and it’s made me want to give even more back to the club and continue to help it grow as President.

This year, I’ve focused on being consistent, supportive, and present from leading weekly S&C sessions on Mondays, helping to organise competitions including our first ever time attending BUTL, and supporting members at training and comps. Being an active committee member has allowed me to see what it takes to keep the club running smoothly behind the scenes – a role I believe I can fulfil.

I understand how important communication, organisation, and reliability are as President and I can confidently assure that as a type-a girlie who prides herself in getting things done efficiently, I have the skill set to lead and work alongside committee. I’m already comfortable with some duties such as using excel to log competitors when I've assigned the poomsae teams/pairs, relaying emails with the Student Union and organising events such as the Welcome fair performance therefore allowing for a smooth transition over!!

This club and every person a part of it means so so much to me and I would be honoured to lead it alongside the rest of committee. Thank youuu 🫶🫶🫶
