Urology is one of surgery’s most innovative, yet underexplored specialties at UCL. As a 2nd year student and your current Urology Outreach Officer, I have felt that void firsthand. I know I am not alone. My conviction to strengthen this community is exactly why I am running for Urology Chair.
My vision is built to empower and inspire those who are keen to uncover the boundless scope of urology.
Brand new flagship initiatives:
- Immerse: Roll out the first-ever UCL Urology Surgical Course that runs throughout the year, covering various core procedures with hands-on simulation workshops.
- Imagine: Host a Urology & Robotics Hackathon Evening Series, where members collaborate and innovate for impactful change.
- Insight: Organise UCL's first student-led Robotic Surgery Conference. Not another lecture series but an interactive experience with the future of surgery.
Why me?
Alongside my experience as Collaboration Facilitator for INUGSC this year, I have contributed to workshops, managed logistics, and navigated the demands of a large surgical conference. I have witnessed the profound trajectory that a well-run society builds for its members. I understand the drive to pursue a specialty — more exposure, more mastery, more opportunity. Every initiative that I have outlined exists for one reason: to ensure no member of this society should ever feel that void again.
