Yahvi Yadav

Hi, I’m Yahvi and I’m so excited to be running for Transplant Surgery Chair!

I have been part of this society for the past two years as finance officer and have loved my experience on subcommittee and exploring the different avenues of transplant surgery through our events.

I believe transplant surgery is such a diverse and exciting field which is constantly advancing with milestones such as the first baby born in the UK to a mother with a transplanted womb (the surgeons of which have spoken at our symposiums for the past two years!). This goes to show that transplant surgery can be used for life transforming procedures as well as life-saving.

If elected chair I would:
- Continue with our flagship symposium that will bring surgeons at the forefront of their fields to share their expertise
- Host a lecture series which explores the journey of transplantation starting from the retrieval surgeries from donors to patients living with a transplanted organ
- Make sure members can have hands-on experience developing their surgical skills with a workshop
- Develop our relationship with other societies across the country to expand our network of medical students with an interest in transplant surgery

I would be honoured to chair the transplant division next year and would bring my passion, experience and commitment to ensure that our members feel inspired by our events. Thank you for your consideration!
