Surgical Society: Secretary

Hi, I’m Saanvi Nagaraj and I’m a 1st Year Medic. I am applying to run for Secretary for Surgical Society. I believe I am suitable for this role as it encompasses the communication aspects of the society - especially the newsletter. Previously at my Sixth Form, I was appointed as the Communications Prefect where I created the termly newsletter through leadership and delegating tasks to others in the wider Prefect Team. I also acted as the Publicity Officer for the Medic Mentor Virtual Medical Society where planning and communication was essential - I planned multiple sessions where presentations, social media posts and many publicity forms had to be created before the session was approved. In conclusion, I think I am suited for this role due to my vast experience dealing with organisational tasks and written communication - skills necessary to excel in this role.
