Hello, I’m Gabriel and I’m enthused to run as your Neurology & Neurosurgery Chair next year! The competitive and complex aura of neurology & neurosurgery wards off many students too early before they learn to appreciate the intricacies of the field and what the career entails. I aim to foster a collaborative environment where meaningful conversations regarding the field can prosper.

• Brunei Medical Students’ Association - President (2026-Current), Events Director (2025).
• Virtual Reality in Medicine & Surgery - Events Lead (2025-2026).
• International Neurology & Neurosurgery Conference (INNC) 2026 - Operations & Logistics Co-Lead.

Plans:

INNC 2027

• Continued innovation of INNC - Collaborating with pioneering speakers from the UK and worldwide, as well as delivering innovative workshops exclusive to INNC.
• Emphasis on participant feedback to nullify systematic bottlenecks and fulfil demands.

Educate

• Revision support for members. Provision of high-yield teaching sessions reinforced with a centralised database for revision and OSCE preparation notes.

Bridging the Gap

• Journey Through The Encephalon Series will be preserved with curated talks on the hottest advancements in the field and casting light onto the niche sub-specialties. These career talks and portfolio workshops are key in gaining direction and the headstart needed for professional growth.
