I've experienced firsthand the impact of events organised by our Surgical Society. From joining SurgSoc at Freshers' Fair in 2024, to the RCS networking event that led to me shadowing incredible surgeons and take part in and lead several research projects, I know the immense value that such events hold in terms of furthering professional development.

As Clinical skills events coordinator, my capacity to organise, timekeep, and work efficiently has grown exponentially. Helping run the Surgical Skills course here at UCL has showcased my dedication to Surgical Society; Juggling setup, attendance of participants, making sure participants' and facilitators' needs are being met, teaching surgical skills (in which I must also be proficient), cleaning up, and creating an extensive logbook to be reviewed as accreditation by RCS are just some of the responsibilities I have in my current role, and I always do them with a smile. Even when it means my mondays are 9am-9pm!

I constantly come up with ideas to make work more efficient and experiences more enjoyable , and frequently provide solutions to problems. I can also accept when certain ideas don't work, making me an easy person to work with, as I thrive on constructive criticism.

I would love to be Events Officer as I am naturally outgoing and very people-oriented. I care deeply about creating environments where others feel included and confident. I value fine details and memorable experiences, so let me help create them !
