Sudanese Society: President

Salam ya nas! 

It's Aya, your VP running to be president. I've had an amazing time learning how to support the committee with leading the society and now I would love to continue by leading it! 

With the ongoing conflict in Sudan, it is more important than ever that we ensure our concerns and voices are heard as a collective, and by voting for me, I intend to ensure that is heard within UCL and beyond insha Allah. I believe that having already experienced and learned from my role as Vice-President I can lead with certainty and ensure our community is one that is not only close and tight knit with other Sudanese societies, but open and collaborative with other groups as well.

As President, I aim to do the following things:

• Careers - ensuring we have the opportunity to engage with Sudanese professionals in industries we are interested in, as it is important to see someone like yourself in a position you aspire to reach
• Events - we know how to have fun and that isn't stopping soon; I want to ensure we get further sponsorships to support us carrying out bigger and better events
• Educate - I'd like to ensure UCL makes the most of our members and giving them the opportunity to engage and highlight what the conflict means to them and how they are impacted. 

I'm determined to ensure we can have fun and also ensure our education is the priority. So, if you want fun events, insight into careers, and a space to meet people like yourself (or not, we love everyone here 😁 ) then vote for me!
