I would be interested in the role of Vice President of the Statistics Society because of my enthusiasm for building a strong academic and social community for students with an interest in statistics and statistics-based applications. As a current Statistics, Economics, and Finance student at UCL, I have witnessed firsthand the importance of statistics and the way it underlies many of the problems we seek to solve, from finance to economics.

What excites me the most about this role is the opportunity to make the society a platform where all students from different backgrounds and with different levels of experience can participate and engage with statistics. Therefore, as the Vice President of the society, I would seek to support the President and the committee in delivering events and projects that offer insightful and engaging opportunities for members to network with professionals within the fields of data science, finance, and research.

Overall, this would be a fantastic opportunity for me to contribute to the student community and develop my skills as a future leader, all while creating an engaging platform for members to engage with each other and increase their enthusiasm for statistics.
