Statistics Society: Treasurer

Hi everyone!

I'm Wen, a first year Statistics, Economics and Finance student. With some experience in accounting, as well as my role at Fintech Society for being an Outreach Executive, I have developed a disciplined way of budgeting resources and sponsorship outreach. I am aware of the significance of planning and budgeting properly and ensuring that every decision has an actual value. I am excited to contribute to the use of our society’s funds to support you.

As your Treasurer, I will focus on:

Strategic budgeting:
Decisions on how the funds are spent will be based on member feedback on the events and initiatives you want us to hold.

Sponsorships:
Reaching out to firms ranging from data science to banking to secure partnerships. This will help subsidise speaker events, competitions, and socials to ensure that they remain high in quality.

My goal is very simple: to keep our finances organised, to grow what we can offer, and to make sure that every £ is used for good.
