Squash Club: Men's 2s Captain

I’m running to be Men’s 2s Captain because I really care about the team and believe we can push ourselves competitively while maintaining the team's friendly and supportive spirit.

Having prior experience as squash captain at my old school, I think that I would be well-placed in fostering a high morale across the season, making sure that everyone in the team feels included and heard. If elected, I'd prioritise transparency and fairness in all communication/decisions in addition to keeping everyone committed to the team in matches/training, ensuring that there's no confusion about fixtures, availability and expectations. On the organisational front, I will coordinate matches with the captains of other unis proactively so that everyone's time and availability are respected as well as managing the flow of matches to ensure that matches finishes on time.

Ultimately, I would make sure that new players feel welcome and that everyone feels equally part of the squad. The 2s should be competitive, but also a team that we all genuinely enjoy being part of.
