Squash Club: Commercial Officer

I am standing for Commercial Officer because I have really enjoyed being part of Squash Society over the past two years and would love to be more involved in the workings of the club! Squash has been a big part of my time at UCL, from playing regularly in my first year to representing the 2s this year, and I would like to help the society continue to grow and develop!

This year I served on the Live Music Society committee where I directed the University-wide professional band. I regularly communicated with other societies and external organisations and the experience gave me a useful insight into how UCL societies operate and the importance of coordinating projects, meeting deadlines and clearly communicating with others. As a result, I am highly organised and reliable. These are skills that would translate well to managing kit orders, liaising with suppliers, and developing relationships with potential sponsors.

I study Law and am actively involved in commercial law through the Law Society, and I also come from a strong maths and STEM background. This means I am comfortable thinking about pricing, budgeting, and wider commercial decisions. I would work closely with the Treasurer and President to ensure sponsorship agreements, kit pricing, and merchandise decisions are well organised, financially sensible, and accessible for members.
