I'm Anderson, A 2nd year Chemistry student!
When I arrived at UCL in my first week, Snowsports Society became one of the most important parts of my UCL experience. What started as a passion for the slopes, and Aprés, has grown into a commitment to this society - and it is that commitment that drives me to run for President
As Trip Secretary, I have gained society experience. I have had the privilege of organising two full society trips by: managing logistics and problems, coordinating events with members, and ensuring everyone had the best possible experience on the slopes. This role has given me a grounding in the administrative/organisational demands of the society, which I will leverage in the new role
Some changes I would implement are, but are not limited to:
- Making all committee members welfare trained
- New weekly socials on the weekends with a less boozy feel (e.g, 5 a side)
- Offer members a chance to go to more national events (E.g Chill Hill in Exeter)
- Monthly surveys to members, to incorporate feedback into our strategy
- Maximise London, by having more socials in more parts of London. So members can explore this amazing city with an amazing community
- More collaborations with other UCL societies
- Biweekly Committee meetings to help communication and development of new ideas and plans
- Invest in better equipment
- Offer more regular beginner level training
- And many more!!
Whilst it may seem ambitious, I believe in my ability work with committee to make Snowsports the best it's been

Snowsports has been more than just a society; it’s my friends, my sport, and a core part of my time at UCL. Being Social Sec taught me the effort required to keep things running smoothly and how strong leadership creates a welcoming, active atmosphere. Watching how Emily and Selin navigated the year has given me valuable insight into how to support a committee and keep members engaged. Whether it may be during a night out at Scala, before the night even makes it to Scala, on trip or during competitions, I will be there as I have been for the most part this year.
My goal for next year is to build on our success: weekly trainings, Wednesday socials, and well-organised trips, while improving communication so information is clear and accessible. I want everyone to feel comfortable getting involved. I want Snowsports to be as accessible as possible; I’ll ensure taster sessions and socials run smoothly at the start of the year so everyone can get stuck in. I want to encourage participation in competitions like Kings, BUDS, AJAM, and Trip, as these are the moments members remember most. I’ll stay present and supportive, whether you need me for sport or just someone to listen.
I’m approachable, proactive, and ready to take responsibility when needed and let’s not we forget one of the main attendees for social events!
Hey everyone, I’m Molly!
I’ve been part of UCL Snowsports for three years, and I’m running for President because I want this club to be the pinnacle of TeamUCL, not just because of trip, but because everything is run at a higher standard.
I’ve already run this club at exec level as Treasurer (24/25), and as Returners’ Rep (25/26). Even while on study abroad this year, I’ve been helping committee behind-the-scenes when they needed an experienced hand. There’s no doubt that I know Snowsports from the inside out.
I was buzzing in L2A to hear so many freshers are running for committee; fresh energy is what keeps the club alive. But fresh ideas need experienced leadership to realise them. That’s what I bring: the experience to lead, and the ability to help the new committee thrive.
My aims:
- Joining made effortless: clear newcomer pathway, structured meet-the-committee social to help with integration.
- Comms that works: early-release events calendar, clear sign-ups/deadlines, WhatsApp announcements.
- Smooth, professional committee: support from me, delegation, no last-minute chaos.
- Fun, inclusive, safe culture: beginners, exchange students, and solo joiners included from week one; welfare taken seriously.
- Better training and value: clear progression, servicing sessions, affordable kit guidance.
I have proven that I can run this club exceptionally, not just when it is easy, but when things go wrong. I will raise the bar, keep the vibe strong, and deliver consistently.
Piste and love,
Molly xoxo
