This magazine has been a significant part of my time at UCL, and I'm not ready to stop giving back to it. Having spent my time this year as Chief Editor shaping the magazine's voice, developing its content, and working closely with the people behind it, I feel I have a genuine understanding of what we do well and where we could go further. I've seen the effort that goes into every article, UCL Scientia, the creativity of our contributors, and the potential this platform has to grow into something even more impactful within the UCL community and beyond.
I'm standing because I care about this organisation and the people in it. I know how it works, I understand its challenges, and I believe that experience puts me in a strong position to lead it thoughtfully. Being Chief Editor has given me a clear picture of what this magazine could become with the right direction and the right energy behind it.
I have ideas I'd like to see through - around how we engage our readership, support our team, and expand our reach - and I'm ready to take on the broader responsibility that comes with the presidency. I'm not standing because it's the next logical step. I'm standing because I genuinely believe I can make a difference here.
