Charlotte Usher

Acting as comms officer would give me the opportunity to support in such a special part of the society: building the excitement and community that makes Salsa Soc so loved.

I absolutely love social dancing and events are always better with more people. I would be committed to clear, early communication, ensuring people know what’s happening and more people can come along.

I would create fun and engaging visuals that allow people to envision the events, helping craft themes and ideas that make socials even more of a community feel.

I would also love to contribute to developing a recognisable brand for the society. We are a unique community and I would want our visual identity to reflect that. I would create open communication, allowing people to have a say in what our society is known for.

Most importantly, I would focus on building anticipation and hype around all our key events. Whether it’s Welcome week or our various balls, strong communication and branding would make events feel even more exciting, building on the community we already all adore.

Hailey Wilson

Hey y'all! My name is Hailey Wilson, and I am running to be one of your Salsa Soc Communications Officers 26/27!

I'm a 2nd Year Global Humanitarian Studies student, and I may be a familiar face to many of you as one of your current Communication Officers, and as a frequent dancer in many of our weekly classes.

Having held this role over the past year, I’ve gained valuable experience managing our communications, promoting events, and keeping members informed and engaged. I have greatly enjoyed creating and editing the posts for the Salsa Society Instagram and Facebook, and I’m excited to continue improving the designs that represent and inform our community.

I am already familiar with the platforms and software we use, which means I can continue the role smoothly and efficiently while building on what we’ve achieved this year. I care deeply about making sure our messaging is clear, welcoming, and reflective of the vibrant community we foster. I would love the opportunity to keep contributing to the Salsa Society by helping connect members with all the classes, socials, and opportunities that make this community so special.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about my designs and experience as a current Communications Officer, or would just like to get to know me better as a member of your society.
