Rugby Club (Women's): Social Secretary

Hey everyone, it’s Gaby, and I am running to be your social sec for next season! You may know me for various reasons but if you don’t, then I think my photo in a wig is a pretty accurate representation of me. 

I have loved attending the socials this year and would love to take on the responsibility to provide the team with more fun socials next season. 

I want to make socials an inclusive place and time for everyone by having a range of drinking and sober socials so that no-one feels left out. I think socials are a great way to bond with the team and are meant to be fun for everyone. Therefore, my goals for next season are:

• Provide super fun drinking and sober socials 
• Team bonding outside of training and matches 
• Make moments we can remember forever 
• Add a lot of accessories to your wardrobe (social ideas list is already crazy)

Hey everybody, it’s Kitty and I would love to be one of your social secs next year! Rugby is such a fun sport both on and off the pitch, and whilst I may not be qualified to take the lead on the pitch I feel I am well trained in socials by this point (#scalawarrior). Socials are a great time for the team to bond and have fun without pressure, making up some of my favourite memories this year, I would love to be part of creating these for others next year. 

Inclusion is a top priority for me, as I would like to uphold the UCLWRFC welcoming reputation! I never want anyone to be stood lonely at a social, and I pledge to create an environment comfortable enough that people can have fun without embarrassment or judgement. 

My vision for next year's social calendar:

• A mix of fun sober and non-sober socials
• Fab themes and challenges
• Collaborations with other societies to show how rugby girls do it best!
• More body paint

I hope we can continue the legacy of our wonderful social secs this year, with lots of dancing, digicam pics and most importantly FUN! Stay gorgeous everyone and I hope to see you all at Scala next week xxx
