Rugby Club (RUMS Men's): Social Media Secretary

I’m standing for Social Media Secretary because I think RUMS Rugby social media can be more creative, consistent and engaging.

I want to move us beyond just posting results and instead build a stronger identity around the club. That means cleaner and more professional graphics, better match day content like day in the life videos, interactive team sheets with player photos and perhaps things like FIFA-style “In Form” and MOTM cards.

Alongside performance content, I’d like to use the platform to highlight the wider culture of the club — including mental health awareness collaborations with plans to reach out to professional rugby clubs for potential collaborations themed around men’s mental health awareness.

Finally, I’d like to develop a longer-term project: “RUMS Rugby: The Rebuild” — a behind-the-scenes series documenting the upcoming season, showing the work that goes into rebuilding and progressing as a club as we enter a somewhat rebuild phase.

I also have many more ideas that I’d like to keep a surprise for now but can guarantee will give the club content that’s worth watching.

My aim is simple: make our social media something players are proud of and people actually want to follow.
