Election post
I could list off countless reason's for why I'm choosing to stand for social secretary of the UCLMRFC, but it'd be easier to summarise it in one word, love. Love for the game, love for the shower time, love for the commitment, love for the Wednesday night's, where my attendance has indeed been faultless throughout the academic year and I can't imagine a world I'd let it slip come my second year, but most importantly a love for getting so weird on and off the pitch with a load of of-age men (18 year olds + the rest). It would be an honour to take over the torch left by senor meatball and his partner in crime, with which I believe I could do much good work. I would continue to prioritise the club in every walk of life and would take the burden of adminning only the better mixed-socials on the circuit (vetoing rvc from the start as that was dead chat). I'd strive to keep the club as inclusive as it has been in the year gone, with placing a greater emphasis on ensuring many of the fresh do not let attendance for social's or at the very least the hell hole we call scala slip off as we've seen this year, regardless of being on a leash, club come's first. I'd strive to increase club sponsored events for a variety of bevs and establishments as we saw towards the back-end of the year as that was quality admin. Ultimately, I could not picture myself doing anything else with my second year of university with such intent as holding the title of social sec.
Long live the cloob,
Harrow.
