Rare FM: Welfare Officer

I am standing as welfare officer as I believe, as a student myself, every student's wellbeing should be taken seriously. I intend to lead Rare FM welfare with care, inclusivity and compassion, not an ounce of judgement. 

As a person, I put people's humanity at the forefront. I believe the key to ensuring a safe and compassionate space is through patience and understanding, taking all people, not at face value, but as complicated, beautiful lives who deserve the utmost respect, irrespective of their backgrounds.

I intend to create a safe space within the Rare FM community through organising team events that promote such values. An example may be a Rare FM lunch, with the aim of getting all members together, to get to know each other, eat good food and feel the vibrant community of Rare!

I look forward to meeting the new Rare FM community and helping to create a wonderful collection of people!
