The Quant Society should be the place where the most ambitious quantitative students at UCL come to be challenged. As Vice President, that is the standard I want to set.
I am a second-year Economics student who has built across the full spectrum of quantitative finance. From a satellite data-driven trading bot and a quant research internship, to independent research on numerical methods for the Black-Scholes PDE that I have been discussing with professors at UCL, Warwick, and Manchester. I placed 1st at UCL and 13th worldwide in Jane Street's Estimathon and regularly attend the London Mathematical Finance seminar series.
As VP I would focus on pulling in stronger external speakers, improving coordination across society divisions, and raising the ceiling on what members achieve before they graduate.
The society deserves leadership that holds itself to the same standard it asks of its members. I do.
