Aman Takk

I stand for Sports Director since sport plays a strong role in Punjabi culture and student life. At university, sport brings people together quickly. Shared competition, team spirit, and regular training help students form friendships and build a sense of community. I want to help create more opportunities for members of Punjabi Society at UCL to connect through sport.

I enjoy sport and understand the organisation required to run successful events. As a student at UCL, I take part in society activities which require teamwork, planning, and communication. These experiences shape how I approach responsibility within a group setting. I want to apply these skills toward organising sports fixtures and events which encourage strong participation across the society.

As Sports Director, I want to organise regular matches and tournaments which allow members of all ability levels to take part. Football, cricket, and kabaddi hold strong popularity within the Punjabi community, and structured fixtures across the year would build strong engagement. Friendly competitions with other cultural societies across UCL would also strengthen community links while increasing participation.

This role offers the chance to build a strong sports culture within Punjabi Society. Through well organised events and inclusive participation, I want to help create a welcoming and energetic environment where members build friendships and represent the society through sport.
