Remember that awkward feeling of stepping into a lecture hall, unsure where to sit or not knowing how to start a conversation? As your Welfare Officer, I want to make sure no one ever feels that way. Population Health Science should be about more than deadlines and lectures — it’s about belonging, connecting, and feeling supported. I aim to build a space where every member feels comfortable, included, and valued, whether joining for socials, study sessions or just to meet new people. I will make sure every voice is heard, every concern is cared for, and everyone feels part of our society.
I will host friendly, relaxed welfare drop-ins where you can talk to me without feeling intimidated. I’ll set up a dedicated welfare group chat so support is always just a message away. Whether it’s coffee, a campus walk, or a chat before lectures, I’ll be there to listen and offer guidance. I will check in during busy periods, like exams and deadlines, to ensure no one feels stressed or left behind. I also aim to organise casual wellbeing activities such as coffee catch-ups, walks, yoga, and gym sessions so members can relax, connect, and support each other.
I’m enthusiastic, approachable, and responsible, with leadership and volunteering experience that brings energy, creativity, and teamwork to everything I do. I am committed to making every member feel supported, connected, and valued. Vote for me and together we can build a society where everyone belongs, is heard, and can truly flourish.
