Jake Chandra-Rajan

Hi everyone!

I have had a great time at parkour this year and I've really enjoyed the community aspect, so wanted to help to continue build it within the society moving forward.

Plans for the future: To continue to strengthen the community I would add some planned activities to the Saturday socials (e.g. board games, quizzes or party-style video games like Mario kart) whist keeping the relaxed environment that makes them fun and not overwhelming.

About me: I volunteered at a local care home for over 2 years during sixth form, my main role there was to make sure all the residents were having a good time while running various activities (I was pretty much on vibes duty 😅) so I know how to ensure functions run smoothly. I even won volunteer of the year for the south division (Barchester care awards). Also, as some of you may know, I am also a passionate climber and during school I spent a lot of time planning events within the climbing community, including inter-school climbing meet-ups and route-setting tasters. So I've got some experience with the challenges that come with making events come to life in sport. Finally I have worked as a mystery shopper for over a year so I know the importance of proper planning but can also think on the fly if necessary.

Thanks for reading! Hope I didn't ramble too much, Jake :)
