As a first-year Medical Science student, attending MedTech Society’s events has significantly shaped my understanding of the frontier of my discipline. This made me realise how impactful well-promoted society events can be, especially for early-stage students. I would love to contribute to ensuring that more students are aware of these opportunities and are encouraged to participate.
I am standing for Marketing Officer because I believe effective marketing is central to a society’s growth. It is important to position the society strategically and ensure that students understand how participation can benefit them. My previous experience in marketing strategy and involvement in a non-profit organisation have equipped me with skills in mission-driven communication and collaborative teamwork. I enjoy problem-solving and working with others towards a shared goal, and I find it particularly rewarding when collective efforts lead to meaningful impact. Having actively participated in a wide range of society events myself, I also have insight into what resonates most with students, which I believe would help in crafting more targeted and effective outreach strategies.
Hi everyone! I’m a Y2 Medical Innovation and Enterprise student with a strong passion for medical technology and its potential to transform patient care. My degree combines biomedical science, technology and entrepreneurship, which means I’m not only interested in how innovations are developed, but also how they are positioned, communicated and brought to market. I’ve previously held marketing roles within student societies, where I promoted events, managed social media platforms and helped increase engagement through strategic and creative content. Through these experiences, I developed skills in branding, audience targeting and creating content that is both informative and exciting. I genuinely enjoy thinking about how to showcase opportunities in a way that resonates with students and builds a strong sense of community. As a Marketing Officer for MedTech Society, I would love to combine my marketing experience with my enthusiasm for MedTech to help grow the society’s presence and make its events and initiatives even more visible and impactful.
I am excited to nominate myself to be Marketing Director of Medtech Society
As a student studying Medical Innovation and Enterprise, I greatly enjoy the world of Medtech and I am greatly familiar with medical business
I work part time with UCL accommodation to create content for their social media. In my most recent project with them, I created an instagram reel marketing the new Urbanest Canary Warf UCL accommodation, which will soon be published.
I enjoy posting on social media, and post consistently on my own social media page for fun, feel free to check out the content on my instagram page @rosie.raysmith
I will create the most vibrant and engaging canvas and reels to emphasise and showcase all the amazing events and opportunities of Medtech society, enthusiastically marketing everything the society organises, along with promoting the society itself.
I would love to use the knowledge I have gained throughout studying medical business and also make use of my experiences in media and to improve the marketing of Medtech society
This way, I can help increase the recognition of how truly amazing Medtech society is, and grow and expand our community.
I will also make use of all offline marketing outside social media, such as enthusiastically promoting Medtech society in person through word of mouth and posters, in order to engage those who are less active on media platforms, not to mention throughout university fairs.
