MedTech Society: Diversity and Inclusion Chair

Hi, I’m Naomi, a second year Biomedical Sciences student, and I’m excited to be running for the role of Diversity and Inclusion Chair! 

As a Diversity and Inclusion Executive this year, I’ve enjoyed organizing the annual MedTech for All Conference. From coordinating multiple speakers to arranging the different sections, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges and rewards that come with bringing such an event to life. It’s taught me what it truly takes to work as a team, and the importance of balance and communication.

Next year, as Chair, I want to build on this foundation. I aim to continue the hands-on workshops and talks, while expanding networking opportunities for attendees. I also wish to add a panel/interview session during the conference, featuring a diverse range of experts, to showcase even more perspectives within the field.

Part of what makes MedTech so special is the community, and I believe this was really highlighted during the conference when the committee came together to help make this conference a success.

Being part of MedTech’s committee this year has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and I would love the chance to contribute again next year. I would be honored to have your vote.
