Live Music Society: Events Officer

As a fresher, Live Music Society has been the community where I’ve felt most at home. Having spent the past term as your Events Officer, it has been a pleasure seeing and meeting so many musicians sharing my passion. Being behind the scenes of jams, gigs, and open mics, I know how much work goes into making our events run smoothly – and I want to keep building on that next year.

Being already familiar with the system, I can keep the events rolling into next year, whether organising collabs and bookings or managing tech to keep your gigs and jams running without issue. I’ve made an active effort to keep the equipment organised, including introducing more efficient systems for setting up events to get things starting on time (or at least closer).

I can promise:

• Hearing the love for the jams, more jams
• Events to be organised further in advance, keeping you informed of events year round
• More collabs with other performing societies
• Securing better equipment for your practice and performances, like Bluetooth systems and complete drumkits

I’m very open to experimenting with new events, new collabs, and new venues, all driven by your opinions and feedback. I am dedicated to this society, I’ve already spent hours on sorting equipment and managing events, and I’m prepared to bring that effort forward for the whole year. Above all, my priority is to keep your opportunities to perform running smoothly.
