Diana Viktorija Kartene

Hi everyone,

I’m Diana Viktorija Kartėnė, a second-year AMS student, and this year I’ve served as your Treasurer in the Lithuanian Society 🇱🇹

Over the past year, I haven’t just handled numbers, I’ve helped build the foundation that allows our society to function and grow. Treasurer isn’t just about tracking expenses. It’s about planning ahead. It’s about working closely with the president and ensuring that we can aim higher without risking stability.

If re-elected, I want to support bigger collaborations and cultural events, keep full transparency so every member knows how funds are used, and make sure we have sufficient funds.

Caring deeply about this society, I am motivated to manage its finances for the upcoming year, ensuring that the Lithuanian Society continues to be a strong and visible part of the UCL community. With the experience I’ve gained this year, I’m ready to continue the work with even greater confidence, responsibility, and ambition.

I would truly appreciate your support in allowing me to continue as your Treasurer next year.

Ačiū 💛💚❤️

Kamile Vaitkute

Hey everyone ! I’m Kamile and have been a part of the Lithuanian society since 2023 and was president during the 2024-25 academic year. My absence this year within the society was due to my year abroad at the University of Michigan but I am set to come back to UCL to finish my final year of my undergraduate degree! While my time here has definitely been adventurous, it’s made me truly understand the importance of our community.

University can be stressful, and as treasurer I  want to bring more opportunties to our society ; the celebration of our independence days, more dance workshops that we could have the opportunity to perform ( if desired ) , cultural cooking and food exchange nights within the central campus location or more scenic options like Primrose Hill :) participate in Baltic festivals and events within the community and even host one!

I shall make it a priority to reach out and include our  Baltic neighbours and those who are interested in learning in our culture overall, and work with other societies to help you create connections and even more exciting memories :)

Aciu visi!!
