Chelsea Cheng

I am standing for Welfare Officer because the society’s mission, empowering individuals to take control of their health through sustainable habits resonates deeply with my personal journey and values. I want to help build a community where students feel relaxed and supported in pursuing balanced wellbeing in harmony.

My active involvement in Cheerleading, Dance Society and Yoga reflects my commitment to ‘Move’, understanding how physical activity also boost mental health. Through Dance and Cheer, I’ve experienced how movement relieves stress and creates a sense of self and peace

As Head of International Student and Boarding Committee, I supported peers through homesickness and transition challenges, direct experience relevant to ‘Self-care’ and mental wellbeing. I organized events that promotes belonging and checked in on those struggling, obtained critical skills for creating a safe space and supportive habit groups

My dedication to Model United Nation and Diversity Committee taught me to speak up for overlooked issues. I will apply this to promote awareness of Lifestyle Medicine as preventative care, helping members understand how small but consistent change can prevent burnouts and chronic conditions.

Vote for me as your Welfare Officer, making Lifestyle Medicine a home for sustainable wellbeing. For any enquiry, feel free to contact me @chelsea_02.22.
