I am standing for the Academic Representative role for the Life Science Society because I want to help make this a place where you can explore learning beyond the curriculum, stress-free.
If you look at my calendar, you’ll see colour-coded events and time-blocked schedules, which not only keep me grounded during term time but also showcase the organisational skills I will bring to planning academic events. I’m also comfortable facilitating communication between students, committee members, and guest speakers, and will use this to make sure your ideas are heard.
While our courses are already packed with information, I want to provide opportunities to drive your learning of topics and skills that are beyond the curriculum. From inviting specific guest speakers, organising relaxed networking events, to holding CV clinics to help you land that internship, I will do my best to ensure that events reflect what you’re interested in.
With me as Academic Representative, you can trust that the Life Science Society’s academic events will be accessible, interesting, and relevant to you.
