Lacrosse Club: Social Secretary

As social secretary I would make lacrosse, especially our lacrosse socials, fun and inclusive. I want to get more people involved in lacrosse, by making everyone feel really welcome just like our social secs made us! If I was social sec I would also like to do joint socials with other societies (like pitbull night with hockey which was so much fun!), as well as keeping up the great themes! If I got the role I would strive to live to the incredibly high standard set by Sophia, Janice and Zak.

As social secretary of women’s lacrosse, I would try my best to make lacrosse socials as accessible and fun for everyone! To do so I would:

• Organise a sober picnic-esque social in welcome week that would be on the student union ‘what’s on’ page to encourage more people who haven’t played lacrosse before to come along. Additionally, going to the first Phineas social can be quite nerve-wracking as a fresher, so this would hopefully allow people to form friendships before then
• Organise more socials with other sports clubs (such as Pitbull night with Hockey)
• Make sure to keep up the great themes & games throughout the year to make socials as fun as possible!
