Lacrosse Club: 2nd Team Captain

Yay lax !!!!

I believe I would be a strong choice for captain of the second team as I am deeply invested in the team's performance and I am confident in my ability to build a team which not only is successful but has a positive culture in which every player feels supported. I envision the team to not only be competitive but also a team in which players trust one another, building friendships whilst enjoying representing the club.

I understand that being captain would not just include leading training and organising fixture's but also includes setting the standard for the team with a positive attitude. I would be reliable, energetic and enthusiastic whilst also staying composed during times of difficulty. Additionally, I will make a conscious effort to ensure team morale is high, ensuring I create an inclusive environment to make sure everyone feels valued and motivated. 

Having played lacrosse since Year 5, I have developed not only technical skills but also resilience and a strong understanding of teamwork. Captaining my school second team  taught me first hand how to lead by example, communicate clearly under pressure and motivate players. I will approach the role with high enthusiasm and a genuine commitment to helping the team grow and be successful.
