I am running for Treasurer of UCL KCSOC because I want to support the society in a way that is both practical and meaningful. KCSOC plays an important role in creating a space where students can explore Krishna consciousness, build genuine friendships, and experience bhakti in a welcoming environment. I want to help sustain and grow that impact through responsible financial management.
As Treasurer, I will ensure that all finances are handled with transparency and care. It is important that the committee feels confident about how funds are used, so I will keep clear records and provide regular updates. This will help build trust and allow better decision making across the team.
I also want to make sure we use our resources wisely. By planning budgets carefully, we can support everything from weekly programmes to larger events without unnecessary spending. At the same time, I will actively look for funding opportunities through UCL, collaborations, and appropriate sponsorships so that we can expand what the society offers.
Accessibility is also important to me. I will work to keep events as affordable as possible so that everyone feels welcome to participate. Alongside this, I want to contribute to the long term stability of KCSOC by keeping organised records and planning ahead for future committees.
For me, this role is not just about managing money, but about service. I want to ensure that every resource is used thoughtfully to support the society and its spiritual purpose.
