Lulu Alabbad

I genuinely believe craft is community. Knitting isn’t just about yarn; it’s about conversation, slowness, skill-sharing, and making space for people to gather.

As someone who’s passionate about material culture, textiles, and cross-society projects, I want to connect KnitSoc with other creative and cultural groups across UCL,  from fashion and theatre to heritage, sustainability, and cultural societies. Imagine collaborative workshops, themed stitch nights, zine launches, costume builds, charity craft-a-thons, and exhibitions that showcase members’ work.

I’m experienced in organising events, building partnerships, and turning ideas into structured, well-run projects. I’m organised, communicative, and full of ideas, but most importantly, I care about making KnitSoc feel welcoming and creatively ambitious.

I want to help KnitSoc grow outward while staying warm and community-focused.
