I have loved taking part in K-pop Society's many performances as a vocalist and they have really helped me come out of my shell as a performer and a singer! Now, I want to help give other aspiring vocalists to do the same, as well as help create more opportunities for people to learn and enjoy singing in low stakes environments :)

Niamh Durkin

Hiya! I'm Niamh, and I'm applying to be the vocal captain for the year 26/27. I've really enjoyed my past two years with UCL K-pop Society, and making so many unforgettable memories has truly been such a blessing. One of the things I appreciate most in our society is the diverse performance opportunities available to vocalists, and I'd really like to take the chance in this role to expand on that further in my final year at UCL. I've led both dance and vocal pieces over the last year and have participated in vocal pieces at every showcase since joining the university. I also have a strong passion for putting on the best stage possible and would be proactive in the role, offering assistance wherever requested by any member of the soc. Thanks for your consideration, and I look forward to possibly being your vocal captain next year :33

After taking part in a vocal showcase in the Kpop Blooms showcase, I feel as though I really want to commit to this society and help out with vocals for future showcases! I enjoy Kpop and singing very much, and think I could give this society ample time & focus.

Alexia Drositis

Hi everybody!!!

My name’s Alexia and I’m super excited to be running for vocal captain for next year’s committee :)

  • Why I'm running for vocal captain: I'm very passionate about singing and would be delighted to contribute to vocals! I've made some unforgettable memories in the past 2 years of being in kpop soc and would love to give back to a community that has given me so much.
  • Leadership and showcase experience: I’ve performed in vocal pieces at IUKS, Winter show, and Blooms and have led a freshers vocal cover. I understand firsthand what needs to be worked on to make sure showcase and cover organisation runs smoothly!
  • Teamwork, communication and organisation: My background in team sports has equipped me with these crucial skills. I know how to work well in a team and the importance of communication to reach common goals and create a welcoming space for all. I also consider myself to be an organised and proactive person, something that will be useful when managing vocal pieces in showcases and organising karaoke nights.

Thank you so much for your time and I cannot wait to work with you next year <3333
