I am standing for Publicity Officer of UCL K-pop Society because I am passionate about using media and design to celebrate and elevate K-pop’s artistry within the UCL community. I believe strong publicity is essential not only for increasing visibility, but also for shaping the society’s identity and ensuring our events, performances, and initiatives reach both members and new audiences. Throughout high school, I consistently took on marketing roles in clubs and became the president of the Yearbook Club. The marketing roles required me to organise information clearly, design engaging promotional materials, and post consistently across social media platforms. Whereas in Yearbook Club, I designed many of the pages and had to adhere to very tight deadlines. As a result, I am confident in managing Instagram accounts, maintaining cohesive aesthetics, and adapting content to maximise engagement. In addition, I designed my graduating class’ merchandise last year. This experience taught me how to consider audience preferences, work within the design constraints of the manufacturing company, and produce work that represented the collective identity of my peers. I am enthusiastic, reliable, and ready to put in my all to contribute my skills to help the society grow as Publicity Officer.
