K-POP Society: Events Officer

I'm running for this role because I want to help create fun, welcoming, and unforgettable experiences for everyone in the society!  I know that events are core to our society and require great organisational skills, which I am willing to provide.

I’ve noticed some ways our events could be made smoother and even more engaging, and I’m full of ideas on how to improve.

I wish to create a schedule which encorporates a wide range of activities to accommodate different interests.

I’m confident in my organizational skills and time management—I'm very meticulous and always aim to stay on top of things, which I know is crucial when coordinating successful events. Whether it’s socials, annual events, dance classes or our beautiful showcases, I’m excited to help design events that bring people together and highlight the amazing space in our society.

Overall, my goal is to bring more energy, attention, and fun to our events—making sure everyone leaves with a smile and great memories.

I'm running because I love bringing people together through music and dance! Some of my highlights of the year were the events from this society, such as Winter Showcase, IUKS, weekly dance classes and Halloween Scavenger Hunt, so I'd love to be the person helping create new memories and different interactions for others. As Events Officer, I would focus on planning and executing regular, varied events that are great ways to participate in kpop-related activities while meeting people with similar interests. From the weekly dance classes to larger-scale showcases, I understand that consistency and forward planning are key. 

I'm confident managing my time around uni commitments and handling tasks such as sign-ups, monitoring numbers, and ensuring events run smoothly. I'm also more than happy to communicate with others to ensure quality and organisation. 

Most importantly, I have so many ideas that I'd love to bring to life. Having taken part in various activities, I'd love to bring a variety of show-inspired events, more inter-uni collaborations, and more inclusive events, such as the random-play dances. While this role seems busy, I believe it is also rewarding - I'm ready to put in the work, collaborate with the rest of the committee, and help shape a year of events that everyone looks forward to.
