Ciao a tutti🇮🇹

I’m running for Welfare Officer because I believe the UCL Italian Society should be more than just great events and unforgettable nights — it should be a space where everyone feels genuinely welcome, supported, and valued.

Being Italian at University College London means many different things. We are international students, home students, Erasmus, people who grew up bilingual and people reconnecting with their roots. My goal is to represent all of us. Welfare, to me, is about creating an environment where no one feels out of place — whether at a big social, a small gathering, or behind the scenes.

If elected, I will prioritise inclusivity, accessibility, and open communication. I want to create structured but approachable spaces where members can share concerns, suggest improvements, and feel heard. I am committed to promoting mental wellbeing without stigma and ensuring that our events are respectful, safe, and comfortable for everyone — regardless of background, language, personality, or identity.

I am proactive, organised, and genuinely care about community. I don’t see this role as symbolic; I see it as a responsibility. If something needs improving, I will address it. If someone feels excluded, I will act. If there is a better way to support our members, I will work to implement it.

Grazie🇮🇹
