Julieta Fernandez Ramos

Hi!!

This role sits at the crossroad of two of the things that I'm most enthusiastic about: International Relations and events planning.

As a Politics and International Relations student, I am already passionate about the field. But as my course's elected Events Representative, I have also gained experience in event-planning and logistics. I will use this opportunity to bring creativity and diligence to my role, doing what I love the most.

So if you feel like the society is a space to meet new friends and socialize with those who share your same interests, going beyond just academics, you should leave your vote!

Feel free to reach out to me on instagram if you have any questions @julieetafernandezz

Thanks!!! 😁😁🤝🤝

Nisa Altun

Hi everyone!
I'm Nisa and I am a year 2 Politics and International Relations student.
I want to become one of the next social events director because of my previous experience with organising events. For instance, I was elected as the social secretary for Women's Network of the SU! Additionally, I I took part in shaping, as well as promoting, Enactus UCL's social events. Through these roles, I demonstrated my ability to deliver successful events with impressive turnout.
If I get this role I will:

  • repeat the film festival by inviting speakers, such as academic staff and directors
    • as well as collaborating with other societies that might show interest, such as the film society
  • host cultural/regional themed events
    • inviting students to bring something representative of their country, such as food, music, or dressing up
    • and talk about political issues going on in the country/region of origin
  • organise political quiz nights
    • both as part of pub crawls or as non-alcoholic socials

My aim will be to make the IR society even more welcoming, vibrant and inclusive!
