I’m standing for Vice President of Outreach & Sponsorship because I am dedicated to making an accessible, high-impact engineering community that many students currently miss out on. UCL’s existing engineering societies are often oversubscribed, which limits who gets hands-on experience in real projects; I’m invested in building an alternative route where more people can get involved, contribute, and lead.
This role matters because great engineering ideas don’t move without resources. Many student projects are capital-intensive, and without sustainable funding, ambition gets capped early. Outreach is the lever that unlocks this: building long-term relationships with companies that can support sponsorship, mentorship, components, and technical guidance, whilst ensuring we offer partners clear value and professional delivery.
I’m a strong fit, having already done similar work in practice. Working as a brand ambassador for VOSS Water, I have independently pitched partnership strategies, identifying sponsorship opportunities to grow their brand for a younger audience. I therefore understand the consistency and structure required to keep outreach moving week-to-week. If elected, I’ll bring a professional, repeatable sponsorship process including tailored pitches, finding clear partner benefits, and carrying out reliable stewardship. This means our projects will be funded, our members are supported, and our society grows sustainably.
