Immunology Society: Welfare Officer

My name is Jovita, and I am a Year 2 student studying Infection and Immunity. From first-hand experience, I understand how intense and demanding our courses can be. I would love to take on the role of Welfare Officer to ensure that members feel supported, heard and connected within the Immunology Society. 

Through volunteering at a care home, I have learnt how important it is to be an active listener who can create a safe space where people feel comfortable speaking openly. I hope to provide comfort and assistance if members are stressed or overwhelmed.

Personally, I believe that student wellbeing plays an important role in our university life and is essential to academic success. If elected, I would aim to organise support sessions that promote open communication, helping to foster a positive and inclusive environment within the society.
