Ayush Lohia

I am standing for Ice Hockey President because my time on the Yetis has been the most rewarding part of UCL. Since joining the team, I have been fascinated with the strength of the hockey community, and I have felt so welcome by everyone. I want to be a factor in growing a positive hockey environment where not only individuals can learn and improve their skills, but also be part of a distinct community in UCL that brings joy, pride, and security. I care about all the people in the club, and want all members to be happy and feel as though they are a part of something special.

Maximilian N. Livshin
  • Better relations between the different teams by strengthening communication between teams, organizing better joint socials, and creating a stronger environment for player development and progression within teams.
  •  Secure reliable ice slots for matches and training so all teams have the ice time they need to compete and train consistently throughout the season, with NO uncertainty.
  • Increase funding and sponsorships to maximize what we get out of the season, supporting equipment, travel, and opportunities for every Yetis team, so that YOUR scheduling is made easier.
  •  Focus on stronger performance and more wins by improving preparation, team coordination, and building a competitive culture across the entire club, and a better environment all around for the more leisure members as well.
  • Promote inclusion across the Yetis and the wider hockey community by making the club welcoming to players of all backgrounds and skill levels, encouraging new members to get involved, and strengthening a culture of respect, support, and teamwork both on and off the ice.

A vote for Maximilian N. Livshin for Ice Club President is a vote for a Great and Successful future for the Ice Club!

STRONG PRESIDENT, STRONG TEAM!

Ray Wang

I'd like to be president for Ice Hockey, as the club has been the most integral part of my uni experience. I've spent my days and nights with the Yetis on and off the ice, so it's time for me to help create the same amazing experience for future Yetis!

You can be assured that I would show up for the Yetis as I did for the past 2 years (Cardiff counter: 2). I am prepared for this role in many ways, with 2 years of committee experience for Skate club, spending the last year as treasurer, and helping out the Ice committee wherever I could. I also plan to be fully dedicated to this role (no conflict of interests here).

As president, I would take the following actions:

  • Ensure that the creation of a third team is finalised to accommodate more members at all skill levels
  • I have secured a programmer who I would work with to create a website for the Yetis over the summer, with features such as kit reservation to make borrowing and managing kit easier, game schedules page (get information without the yap), socials page, etc.
  • Secure grant funding for more kit, pucks, and maintain the length of our ice slots (so no game has to be running clock!)
  • Continue to push for the recognition our amazing club deserves, through continuous communications with the SU and TeamUCL
  • Egg social egg socialll
