Hockey Club (Women's): Welfare, Development and LGBTQ+ Officer

Hey guys, 

I’m Sophie, and despite what people will tell you, I am NOT a fresher (although am still failing to live down last year). Despite (or because of) this, I think I have a fair bit of experience of welfare-ing. 

In all seriousness, although you can never take Scala away from me, hockey is so much more than this. The society has shaped, and made, my uni experience and friendships. I would love the opportunity to help give this experience to more people. 

As someone who has needed to fall back on their hockey support system, I would endeavour to make sure that anyone can come to me for someone to listen, advice, or just a chat - god knows I never shut up! 

My goals would be:

• To continue house family groupchats and location sharing
• More sober socials, continuing the wellbeing walks. 
• To be a visible figure and voice for positive change
• To make sure everyone gets home safe on Wednesday
• Keep everyone having fun and up for a good time (fours fresh I’m counting on you).
