Hi, I’m Hope and I’m applying to be your next VP of Marketing for UCL Guild. I have experience managing social media accounts, with accounts consistently surpassing over 30,000 accounts in audience reach. Alongside this, I have also worked with global brands such as Torriden in PR roles. My experiences have strengthened my understanding of audience engagement, brand positioning, and strategic communication, both with consumers and partners. I have also worked in graphic design, collaborating with companies to develop promotional content that increased event visibility and engagement. This has equipped me with the ability to translate ideas into high-impact content. Attending society events and speaking to attendees has given me a clear image of what draws people in to our society
My vision is to position UCL Guild as a recognisable and professionally branded society at UCL, building a cohesive digital presence that reflects the Guild’s ambition, energy and strength.
If given the opportunity, I will:
- Conduct consistent check-ins with the UCL Guild community to get real feedback, to encourage member participation and active interaction.
- Use my creative content creation skills and knowledge to build an instantly differentiable brand for UCL Guild.
- Use my expansive network to initiate more inter-society events and external partnerships to strengthen relations and reach more potential members.
I'm eager to bring a multi-faceted, creative approach to promore UCLGuild's intiatives!
I am Elze, a Management Science student, and I am standing for Head of Marketing because I am passionate about creating strategies that genuinely engage students, shaping Guild Society’s image and making it stand out in a professional and creative way.
During my first year, I served as a Marketing Executive at EFS, where I gained hands-on experience creating social media content and promoting events. I was also the Course Representative, which strengthened my communication and organisational skills.
I have worked in social media with well-known brands such as L’Occitane, The Body Shop, and Burga, where I gained experience by launching new products and producing results-driven content. During my internship at a Lithuanian Art Museum, I designed and launched advertising campaigns, which taught me how important clear messaging and consistency are when building a strong public presence. At a leading Baltic law firm I implemented client satisfaction surveys that contributed to an 18% increase in positive feedback scores. This experience strengthened my analytical thinking and showed me how structured communication and feedback systems directly improve engagement. I was also involved in launching and growing a cocktail lounge business, where I supported marketing campaigns alongside operational and financial decisions.
I am proactive, organised and creative and as Head of Marketing, I would focus on building a clear brand identity with professional and impactful content.
