What will I achieve in the role?

1. Smooth Committee Transition: maintain the strengths we already have, such as our incredible diversity, our commitment to fostering members of all abilities, and our fantastic merchandise.
2. Build on Last Year: hosting events and socials, such as sim nights, scrambles and Wednesday sports night
3. Corporate Relationships: negotiate with courses, ranges and sims to provide the best value to members
4. Streamline Communication: professionalise the standard of the WhatsApp and Instagram page
5. Competitive Excellence: work with the captain to host trials, promote development and simply strive to win

Ultimately, I intend to grow the membership of the club and improve the package we offer to members. The foundations I will inherit are poised for success, but execution requires consistency and drive; I have both.

Last year, I was a fresher, and I made a promise to develop the side of the club I felt that this society was missing. It started slowly. I once hosted a social for 6, but over the year, through dedication and unwavering commitment, we have seen attendance rise to 15-20 weekly, with peaks at 30+ members. I am even prouder of the diversity; it is imperative that the golf club is accessible to all. Social sec was simple, the role was self-explanatory, a good president... less so. Being on the committee, I know what is required from the president and from the club as a whole. My commitment has been proven; I delivered on my promises, and I intend to do so again.
