Electing me as the next social sec would be a great decision. I have been to every social, and have met many people from different societies, so already have a grasp for what I can bring to the table. From having the police called on us at curry night to almost breaking my back at the Halloween social (thanks Chester), it is safe to say that I die for this club. On top of that, my Scala attendance is through the roof, at a whopping 96% (yes I did the maths, yes I went on a torn MCL, yes I’m there until closing), allowing the socials to extend right until the end.
Filling Mr Allcock's shoes may be tough, but I already have plenty of ideas. Unlike him, I won't get distracted by a certain someone in Cheerleading and revolve all our socials around them, and I would like to introduce more themes and challenges for the freshers to assist their enjoyable integration into this club, accommodating for those who do not drink as well.
My philosophy is, the more stupid you look, the better the night, and this is what I'll bring. So, if you want a great night week in week out at the best society in UCL, here I am.
Feel like the reasons are pretty clear why I am standing for your next social sec. I’ve been to every social this year and almost every Scala (except 2, still hurts) fully committing to the weekly routine. Hundreds of Jägerbombs later, and somehow still being there by the end of the night, it’s safe to say I know exactly what a good football social looks like.
I’ve also played my part in boosting the club’s Scala blackout statistics and occasionally getting kicked out for backing the boys a bit too enthusiastically on the dance floor.
Being a predecessor to Chax could be challenging, but my aim is to make every Wednesday a proper club night where everyone’s involved, the freshers are involved in the club quickly (and scala of course) and many mixed socials, don’t you worry.
If you want someone who’s been there every week, knows exactly what makes the socials great, and will make sure next year’s are even bigger, you know who to vote for as Social Sec.
