Wassup Filsoc! I’m Maharlika and I’m running to be your next Vice President :)
As a first-year history student, I bring drive and dedication to everything I do. But beyond academics, I am also a woman of many talents. From being an entrepreneur by starting my own nail business, to snowboarding and being a sports leader at school to volunteering, these attributes equip me with the vital skills and knowledge of being resilient, proactive and collaborating to strengthen the committee. Whether its building a business or learning new skills, I strongly believe that success comes from working together as a team.
So hit me up if you need a fresh set of nails or a fresh set of ideas from me as your VP.
My vision for Filsoc as the new VP:
- Supporting my fellow committee members and taking the initiative when anyone is struggling
- Assisting the president by carrying out and supporting their duties, whilst being a good representative of the society
- Helping to coordinate fun and enjoyable events to share and celebrate our Pinoy Pride
-
Maintaining our society's values and honouring filipino hospitality by ensuring inclusivity
Overall, I aim to continue to providing an engaging and vibrant community for our members. Coming from schools with one or two fellow filipinos, I know how much of a difference feeling a part of a community makes and I want the incoming members to feel the same warmth and sense of belonging as I felt when I joined.

WASSUP FILSOC!!!
I’m Harvey (V1) - an Economics student, your current Treasurer, content spammer, up-and-coming artist, finance/gym bro… and yes, Liam’s (current VP) line manager.
Over the past year, I’ve been working "behind" the scenes, making sure FILSOC runs smoothly - from budgets and sponsorships to SU administration and risk assessments, setting up the groundwork for all our biggest events.
UCL FILSOC GOLDEN AGE IS STILL HERE, and it needs someone who can lead confidently while still supporting the team in the background. As Treasurer, I’ve hosted events, worked across every committee role, and become the go-to person when things need sorting.
I’m not running for President because I believe in strong leadership dynamics. I want to strengthen our next President–Treasurer partnership, bring in new ideas, and help FILSOC grow bigger, stronger, and more ambitious as your next Vice President.
