The best societies aren't just well-run. They're well-felt.

As a Research Associate here and having organised events and mentored peers in the Business Society, I've learned that the strongest communities are built in the margins, the conversation after the meeting, the person who checks in before deadlines, the group chat that's actually active.

That's the energy I want to bring.

The S in ESG is Social. It's the one the corporate world consistently gets wrong. I don't want that to be us, a society that preaches stakeholder wellbeing and forgets its own members.

Two things I want to do well:

A proper buddy system. New members paired with returning ones by career interest — finance, consulting, policy. Not just a welcome email. An actual person in your corner.

A careers corner. A live, member-driven space for internship leads, application tips, and honest advice. Because navigating ESG careers is hard enough without doing it alone.

Welfare isn't a role you perform. It's a standard you set. And I'm here to make this society feel like somewhere you actually want to be.
