Energy Society: External Events Officer

I am running to continue in my current role as External Events Officer because I've really enjoyed my work so far helping to build our events calendar and would like to continue the good work the current committee has been doing!

My priority will be deepening and expanding our relationships with industry to organise a diverse calendar of site visits, panel talks, and demonstrations of real world applications, such as how big data can be used to solve energy transition problems in practice.

I also would like to continue expanding our inter-university partnerships. I've already been in dialogue with university societies across the UK and the rest of Europe, laying the groundwork for a variety of collaborative events which we have already started receiving invites to. For you, that means access to connections, collaborations, and events that won't exist anywhere else in the UK student energy space.

I bring a broad and deep personal network of energy sector professionals from graduate scheme level through to senior civil servants or CEOs of multinational corporations, and I would be grateful for the opportunity to continue using this to provide engaging events that can broaden everyone’s horizons and deepen their networks.
