Samarth Balaji

Hi! my name is Samarth, I've been a part of UCLEMS for 2 years and the society has been a huge part of my university experience. As a medical student in my fourth year, EMS has seen me make some amazing friends, feel part of a welcoming and open minded community and of course has been the source of some amazing nights out!

I'd love to continue giving back to this society in the role of vice president. As someone with experience in the society and a great passion for electronic music and DJing, I believe I'm the right person to assist in decision making and running our events and socials. I'm dedicating to working closely with next years' president and committee and I understand that a lot of work goes into growing and supporting our community. I'm absolutely willing to be a friendly, reliable set of hands to make sure that the next year of EMS is one that many of us wont forget.

I'd be very grateful for your vote! I hope you can see that I am really passionate about this society and that I can bring some experience, enthusiasm and fun to our committee :)

I'm standing for Vice President because I believe the Electronic Music Society needs leadership that genuinely cares about our community's growth and voice.

I've spent time building real connections within London's underground electronic music network—reaching out to venues, promoters, and artists that most student societies overlook. As Vice President, I want to bring those relationships into EMS and ensure our society operates with the same authenticity and energy as the culture we represent.

What matters most to me is creating an environment where everyone feels valued. Whether you've been with us since day one or just joined, you deserve genuine support and real opportunities. I'm committed to being a Vice President who listens, hustles, and actually delivers for this community.

I care deeply about EMS's future. Give me this role and I'll help build something we're all proud to be part of.
