I'm standing for President because I genuinely believe the Electronic Music Society deserves an events programme that pushes boundaries — not just in the music we showcase, but in the spaces we use and the people we platform. I have the kind of passion to EMS that would make me pursue opportunities until the end to make everything better.

I've been actively building connections within London's underground electronic music network, reaching out to venues and promoters that most student societies never tap into. I want to bring those relationships to EMS and create events that feel real, not generic — nights that actually reflect the culture we're part of.

What drives me most is making sure everyone in this society gets a fair shot at the stage. Whether you've been here since day one or just joined last week, you deserve the same energy and the same opportunities. I'm committed to building an events calendar where new faces are welcomed, not overlooked.

I work hard, I hustle, and I care deeply about this community. Give me this role and I'll make every event something people talk about for years.

If we haven’t met already I’m Guillaume, an MPharm student and I’ve decided to run to be president a second year in a row! A bit about me - I love cooking, gyming, running, I throw club nights and I also DJ a lot outside of university! Besides studying and other extracurriculars, my life basically revolves around electronic music. I’ve met some of my closest friends thanks to the society and made some memories I don’t think I’ll ever forget. My plans are similar to what they were last year; expand the society further, hold more socials / club takeovers to try bring members of the society closer together.

Over the past year I’m really pleased with how things have gone, we’ve collaborated with other universities and with external promoters. However this upcoming year I’d like to achieve a couple new things, focus more on the music production side of the society by increasing the amount of sessions, collaborate more with the uni radio (Rare FM) on events/socials and organise more DJ lessons/workshops as there has been quite high demand for it this year! Finally I’d also like to have more frequent social events - like group record shopping or doing socials in pubs outside of uni.

I’d be honoured to have your vote and look forward to meeting everyone on the commitee next year!

As a massive dance head, i think id do a good job as president. Always really loved the vibes and community of dance so wanna do something more behind the scenes.

feel like id be a fit as president, i have a very deep knowledge of the culture, the community and all that goes with dance music which would help me in the role. ive always loved everything from oldschool house to uptempo; i like the idea of being able to represent this society as well as all corners of the music we play.

Ive made some great friends in the society already, djing a lot casually as well as attending events. this is something i hope to do more of as president; building a good core group in the society and making it a good place for all in dance; behind the decks and before them.
